After the inventor of the TURUS UKKO lures, Jorma Turunen, first retired from his company and then later unfortunately passed away, Jarmo Rapala (the grandson of Lauri Rapala) brought the TURUS UKKO lures back to Finland in 2006. Until 2021, his lure making factory "The Finnish Lure Company" placed the greatest emphasis on ensuring that the TURUS UKKO was built by hand just as it had been in the past, and that it caught successfully like the decades before.
Jarmo Rapala was able to increase the quality once again through his extensive know-how and do-how. He hired Veli-Pekka Sahinoja, who already made the Turus Ukko lures for Jorma Turunen.
The lures, with which have been caught many, many big fishes year by year and which have been proved for decades, will now be manufactured in Germany in the same way and with the same quality by the newly founded TURUS UKKO GmbH from 2022, with Jarmo Rapala providing advice and support. So today's TURUS UKKO lures offer an optimum of quality and continue old traditions. The distribution of TURUS UKKO lures is done by one distributor per country. For the distribution areas Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy and France the distribution is done by Zeck Fishing GmbH, Am Nußkopf 28, 66578 Schiffweiler, Germany, www.zeck-fishing.com We are looking forward to inquiries for other distribution areas. Here the focus should be on the field of predatory fishing and the distributor should be able to handle larger purchase quantities through an existing B2B network.
